This leafy, affluent upper north shore family suburb sits on the bushland edge, known for large blocks, gardens and the Showground.

Later unit and townhouse infill has filled in near the shopping village on Mona Vale Road, though the big-block brick pattern still defines most of the streets.

Around Rosedale Road, that mid-century brick-and-tile pattern is easy to spot: solid double brick, generous eaves, and in plenty of cases the original switchboard still sitting untouched.
